UPDATE: I watched, capped, & reviewed the movie here.
Speedy Scandal slipped under my radar when it first came out: the biggest star was Cha Tae-Hyun (My Sassy Girl) and the premise and bobble-headed Wang Seok-Hyun made it look treacly.
Then the film became a sales smash. Not only did Speedy Scandal remain in the box office top 10 for almost three
months, it also displaced 200 LB Beauty as the bestselling comedy in
Korean film history. A clip of it appeared recently on another pop
juggernaut, Boys Before Flowers, and now Barry Sonnenfeld has signed on to direct the Hollywood remake.
The premise: A 36-year-old radio host and former idol (Cha Tae-Hyun) discovers that he is not only a father, but a grandfather, when a 22-year-old aspiring singer (Park Bo-Young) appears one day with her 6-year-old son (Wang Seok-Hyun). Scandal ensues, but I'm hazy on details; I can't find any meaty English reviews or subs.
Surprisingly, HanCinema says the film will come to Atlanta next (date TBA). If that's true, I'll do my best to see it; & post a review and some spoilers I've already watched, capped, & reviewed the un-subtitled movie here. Other U.S. release dates are foggy, but at least the Hollywood remake makes an official U.S. release (video or theatrical) more likely.

Thanks, ecruliana!
A subtitled version is now on YouTube, too, though again, if you just want to read about it, I’ve done a short film summary here:

It’s a great film, here’s hoping we get a licensed version in the US!
